Salary/Position Classification $1052.89 monthly per 3 credit course, Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime) 8.01 hours per week This position will work onsite at UND Grand Forks, ND campus Purpose of Position The Department of History and American Studies at the University of North Dakota seeks a part-time instructor to teach one section of the US military History course in person on campus to begin January 1, 2027. Duties & Responsibilities The successful candidate will contribute to the History program through teaching introductory United States history (History 210: United States Military History). Required Competencies Demonstrated knowledge of United States military history. Effective interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate with faculty, staff, and students Ability to work with and engage diverse students and colleagues within and outside the Department of History & American Indian Studies. Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to teach, inspire, and mentor students. Minimum Requirements Master's degree in history or relevant field by August 15, 2026 Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the US and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
