Position Number PT0170 Job Description The History Department at Old Dominion University invites applicants for part-time Adjunct instructional faculty teaching 100-level sections of in-person General Education (historical survey classes). We are currently seeking individuals, this post may remain open for additional applications as opportunities arise. Those selected will be hired as part of an adjunct pool, which will be utilised as needed based on which courses are in need of coverage. We tend to have the greatest need for instructors who can teach daytime, on-campus courses at the Norfolk main campus of ODU between 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM. Position Type Part-Time Type of Recruitment General Public Type of Recruitment General Public Minimum required education and/or special licenses, registrations, trainings, or certifications M.A. or Ph.D in History or in a closely related field with a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in history Minimum required level and type of experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities Preparation and/or Experience in teaching introductory-level courses (100-level survey classes) in history at the college level.
