Foreign Language, Adjunct Faculty Job Summary Florida Gulf Coast University is a comprehensive university dedicated to quality education, research, and service. Adjunct instructors in Foreign Language instruct students, participate in appropriate curricular and co-curricular assignments and functions, and perform the necessary administrative obligations. Job Description Typical duties include but are not limited to: Plans and teaches 1000- and 2000-level courses in the target language. Prepares syllabi and instruction materials, coordinates class sessions and tests, and evaluates student work. Maintains the highest possible standards of classroom instruction. Keeps abreast of new information and developments in the field of instruction. Maintains professional skills through regular professional development, and other activities appropriate to higher-education faculty.

Other duties:

Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Additional Job Description Required Qualifications:

One full year of teaching experience at the college level or five years at the secondary level. ​
