Department Summary:
The Department of World Languages and Cultures provides opportunities to develop and enhance functional linguistic and cultural capabilities, fostering and nurturing communicative growth to prepare world citizens for the interconnected global community. The Department supports cultural competencies and prepares students for meaningful academic, professional, and personal experiences in a variety of contexts. WLC is housed in the College of Arts & Sciences, the largest academic unit at Drake University. Students choose from a major in Spanish or a variety of minors. The student experience includes opportunities for community engagement, campus involvement, and study abroad.
Job Summary:
The Department of World Languages and Cultures seeks one adjunct instructor with the ability to teach a first- and third-semester course in the Fall of 2026. Successful candidates should have a Master's Degree and language teaching experience and have native or near-native proficiency.
