Position Description:
The University of Iowa's program in American Sign Language invites applications for a 50% open rank visiting faculty position for the 2026-2027 academic year. Responsibilities include teachingfour courses a year (16 s.h.). This is two sections of ASL per semester(maximum 20 students per section) using an immersive curriculum. How to

Applications must include the following:

Education Requirement:
Bachelor's Degree in ASL, Deaf Studies or Interpreting; or equivalent experience
Required Qualifications:
Fluency in ASL Teaching experience and/or equivalent experience (teaching assistantship, teaching practicum, teaching workshops/conference presentations, mentoring interpreters, etc.)
Desirable Qualifications:
