Job Description

Visiting Faculty Position - Legal Practice Program (2026-27 Academic Year) University of Connecticut School of Law The University of Connecticut School of Law invites applications for a visiting faculty appointment for the 2026-27 academic year in its innovative first-year Legal Practice program. The successful candidate will teach the following sequence of courses:
Fall Semester:
Research and Writing (two sections of approximately 20 students each)
Spring Semester:
Advocacy (two sections of approximately 20 students each) - first half of semester Skills Capstone (one section of approximately 40 students, supported by adjunct faculty) - second half of semester Qualifications Applicants must hold a J.D. degree, have at least three years of law-practice experience, and demonstrate strong academic achievement and a commitment to excellence in teaching. The law school welcomes applications from experienced legal research and writing (LRW) faculty, clinicians, fellows, and legal professionals interested in transitioning to a career in academia. Compensation Salary will be commensurate with experience. Application Process Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
