Job Description:
The Management Department in the Gordon Ford College of Business seeks applications for a nine-month, full-time Instructor of Business Law, beginning in Fall 2026. The anticipated start date is August 17, 2026. Consistent with the department's "Learning by Doing" philosophy, faculty integrate experiential learning, employer engagement, and career readiness initiatives into their courses. Our curriculum emphasizes applied projects, professional skill development, and preparation for business careers. The department values evidence-based decision-making and encourages the integration of data-driven analysis into coursework where appropriate.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be expected to: Teach twelve to fifteen credit hours (four ? five courses) each semester during the regular academic year. Courses may include Legal Environment of Business, Business Law, and Employment Law. Courses will primarily be delivered in person on the Bowling Green campus. Assist in the development and execution of departmental programming, both on campus and within the community. Participate in community outreach initiatives. Additional responsibilities may include service contributions to the department, college, university, industry, and professional organizations.
Job Requirements:
Juris Doctor or master's degree in business, legal studies, or a closely related field. Demonstrated applied experience and expertise in Business Law topics such as contracts, employment law, compliance, legal operations, or the regulatory environment.
