Job Description:
SUNY Delhi seeks students who are energetic, familiar with college programs, and interested in working with faculty, staff and students to assist with Welcome Week activities.
Responsibilities include:
answering new student questions
facilitating small group discussions and recreational activities
referring students to appropriate faculty and staff
working with students/families/friends to help them become comfortable at SUNY Delhi
assisting with Welcome Weekend programs, information sessions, entertainment programs
Serve as a positive role model throughout the period of obligation.
connecting with new students through email and by attending college events through the first three weeks of the semester.
Requirements:
Have and maintain an overall 2.25 or higher gpa
Be in good judicial standing with the College.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Familiarity with college programs
The ability to work well with faculty, staff and students, and
Have a sense of humor and stamina!
Additional Information:
Compensation:
Students will receive a stipend of $1,200 for working as Orientation Leaders, which is paid over the course of obligation. A stipend of $600 will be submitted at the conclusion of Welcome Week. The remaining $600 will be paid after the conclusion of the obligation period.
