Job Description:
The Adjunct Faculty member provides high-quality instruction on a part-time, semester-by-semester contract basis. Responsibilities include preparing course materials, delivering lectures, and assessing student performance. The role is designed to support the department's academic goals while enhancing the learning experience for students. The department is seeking for Winter 2026.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare and deliver instructional content in business law and other specialty courses as needed.
Develop and distribute syllabi, assignments, and exams.
Evaluate and grade student performance, providing feedback as needed.
Maintain office hours to support student learning and provide academic guidance.
Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development as needed.
Stay current with developments in the field and incorporate new knowledge into instruction.
Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Juris Doctor (J.D.) Degree
Previous teaching experience at the college or university level preferred.
Experience and ability to positively interact with all members of the campus community
Ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.
In-person instruction is required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
College-level teaching experience preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Duties are generally performed inside a classroom environment, with occasional requirements to engage in administrative tasks outside the classroom.
Some weeknights and weekends may be required depending on the course schedule and student needs.
All work associated with this position must be performed within the state of Michigan.
Scheduled weekly hours vary depending on class contract load. Adjunct Faculty are hired each semester on an as-needed basis.
