Summary of Job Duties:
The University of Arkansas Grantham is looking for a REMOTE Faculty Manager in the following states: AL, AR, AZ, DE, FL, GA, KS, IA, ID, IN, KY, LA, MD, MI, MO, MS, NC, NE, NJ, OH, OK, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WI and WY. POSITION DESCRIPTION
This position is responsible for conducting in-depth reviews of online classes, providing feedback/academic coaching and participates in faculty scheduling. The role ensures that the appropriate academic performance expectations are met. Manage multiple and concurrent departmental projects. A successful candidate will demonstrate a high attention to detail, effective communication skills, strong teamwork ethics, decisiveness and problem-solving abilities. The position reports to Vice Chancellor, Academics, will work closely with other members of the academic team and perform other duties as assigned.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise part-time faculty
  • Monitor and evaluate part-time faculty daily classroom performance to ensure academic expectations are being met and notify faculty regarding their performance in a timely manner
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Regularly provide course check-ups to various faculty 40%
  • Operational Management
  • Conduct bi-weekly faculty performance meetings with the program chairs
  • Utilize the appropriate academic dashboard systems and reports to monitor faculty engagement
  • Teach one course a year 5%
  • Stakeholder Engagement
  • Collaboratively participate in the hiring, training, and motivating of part-time faculty
  • Collaboratively complete part-time faculty performance appraisals
  • Implement mentoring activities for new and continuing part-time faculty 5%
  • Continuous Learning and Development
  • Continuously update skills and knowledge through required training
  • Seek feedback and opportunities for growth to enhance expertise and effectiveness
Qualifications:
EDUCATION
Master's degree from a regionally accredited institution
WORK EXPERIENCE
5 years higher education online teaching experience 3 years of management experience Experience managing a team in a remote environment preferred
