Teach a Course on
Federal Courts:
This Course Provides an Important Foundation for Litigation, Civil Rights, and Government Practice Careers and For Judicial Clerkships. It Provides an Advanced Study of The Federal Structure of Our Judicial System, with Emphasis on The Relationship and Respective Powers of Federal and State Courts and The Relationship Between the Legislative, Executive, and Judicial Branches of The Federal Government. Topics Studied Include What Cases Are Justiciable, the Power of Congress to Define and Limit the Jurisdiction of The Federal Courts, how Federal Law Is Applied in State Courts, Federal Court Review of State Court Decisions, the Power of Federal Courts to Create Federal Common Law, Civil Rights Litigation and Immunities, and Judicial Federalism. Other Expectations The Adjunct Faculty Member Will Not Be Asked to Attend Department Meetings. She or He Will Be Expected to Spend Some Time Outside of Class to Address Questions Related to The Class. Time Taught to Be Determined by The Applicant's Schedule. What Qualifies You for This Role?

Jd Required. Required Degree Must Be Completed by The Start Date. Must Be an Active Member of The Utah Bar.
