JOB DESCRIPTION
Provide instruction and resources to students to support the educational program and to help students and staff to become efficient users of those resources for independent research, continued educational development and recreation.
QUALIFICATIONS
Arizona Teacher certification with Librarian endorsement Two (2) years teaching experience

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
: Provide instruction, resources and services that meet the information and curriculum needs of students and teachers. Provide a coordinated instructional program for students including: orientation; library center collection; the card catalogue; identifying reference sources; non-book materials and equipment; and appreciation of literature. Consult with the principal and staff to integrate the instructional program and to select materials to be used effectively in the curriculum. Coordinate the selection of materials, supplies, furniture, and equipment for the Instructional Media Center. Maintain administrative procedures for circulation, record keeping and card catalogue filing. Provide for the service and care of equipment, materials, supplies and furniture housed in the Instructional Materials Center. Train library clerk to perform tasks as needed. Engage in public relations techniques to encourage the use of the library center's collections for curriculum support and enrichment as well as for recreation. Perform other duties as assigned.
