33472 ALA accredited Masters required: Yes Provides research services to members as part of a team; instructs members in the use of traditional/electronic reference sources and online public access catalog. Participates in collection maintenance and development; maintains reference and non-fiction collections. Plans and implements adult classes/activities; provides readers' advisory services; assists with conducting internet/other computer classes to the public. The Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners provides an excellent benefits package, including medical, dental and life insurance as well as vacation and sick leave, paid parental leave, tuition reimbursement and participation in the Florida Retirement System.
Education/Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires qualified applicants to possess the following: Master's Degree in Library Science (MLS) accredited by the American Library Association (ALA).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred qualifications include: Experience working in a public/academic library reference section, Experience providing instructions on downloading media, Experience presenting programs/instructions to groups, Experience using computer/internet/data-based resources, Experience providing readers' advisory services, Experience with collection maintenance/development, and Bi/trilingual (English/Spanish/Creole).
