Job Description

Central Florida ALA accredited Masters required: Yes "Make a system-wide impact in Lake County! Join our dynamic administrative team, providing exemplary customer service to the community through collaborative metadata management. Hone your cataloging skills by performing original and copy cataloging based on current standards, maintaining databases, exercising authority control, and providing training and support for both county and municipal libraries. Lake County typically hires close to or at the minimum of the salary range. We're looking for a candidate who has a strong sense of customer service (always seeking a positive outcome), a focus on collaborative problem-solving, excellent communication skills, and an understanding of management and flexibility in the workplace." Performs professional, administrative and supervisory work and provides effective library services in area(s) of specialization to the citizens of Lake County. Responsible for supervising and participating in library services and programming, collection development and maintenance, facility organization and maintenance, and community relations, and may be assigned to manage the daily activities of a branch library or assist in managing the library system's technical equipment and services. Shall be required to assist with emergency support functions in the event of a declared emergency and/or any other emergency duties as assigned.
Education/Qualifications:
Requires a Master's Degree in Library Science from an American Library Association accredited College or University with two (2) years of experience of which one has been in a supervisory or lead capacity. Requires a valid Florida driver's license.
