Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Programming Librarian to join our vibrant library team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, managing, and promoting programming initiatives that engage diverse community members and enhance library services. Your expertise will help foster a welcoming environment where patrons can explore new technologies, participate in educational activities, and access innovative resources. This position offers an exciting opportunity to combine technical skills with community engagement, ensuring our library remains a hub of learning and cultural enrichment. Duties Design, implement, and evaluate a wide range of educational and recreational programs that cater to various age groups and interests, including digital literacy workshops, Toddler Time, Summer Reading Program, and guest speakers. Manage collection development related to programming materials, digital resources, and multimedia content, ensuring proper cataloging and metadata standards are maintained. Provide exceptional customer service by assisting patrons with research inquiries, technology support, and resource navigation. Maintain accurate records of program attendance, feedback, and data management to inform future planning. Promote library programs through social media management, community outreach efforts, and internal communication channels. Experience Demonstrated ability in budgeting for programs and managing project timelines effectively using project management tools. Experience in planning, preparing, and implementing programs and instructional lessons. Organizational skills necessary for managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies such as social media platforms for outreach purposes while maintaining high standards of data collection and research integrity.
