Do you want the opportunity to work with materials focused on the history of the Pueblo people? Then you want to join our team at the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center! The IPCC's Library and Archives is the only special collections research library dedicated to preserving the history and culture of the Pueblo people. The library has a physical collection of books, photographs, and other audio/visual materials; as well as an online catalogue that provides greater accessibility to our materials. What you will receive as part of our team: You will join our knowledgeable and passionate team, work in a beautiful location where history is all around you, gain experience in the library sciences field, and be eligible for excellent benefits, including paid vacation and sick days, ongoing training, and development opportunities. You will also be part of an organization that values its employees and supports the 19 Pueblos of New Mexico through our programming and tax generation, which in turn goes back to Pueblo and local communities. What is needed to be part of our team: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the experience, education/certification, knowledge, skills and/or ability needed. Reasonable adjustments or substitutions may be made to assist with performing the essential functions. An equivalent combination of training, education and experience may be considered. Bachelor's degree in Library and Information Science, or a related field or two (2) years of progressive experience in a tribal, academic, public, school library, or bookstore. Must have a strong understanding of and experience with library practices, policies, procedures, techniques and operational standards.
