Job Title:
Librarian for English Language Library in Akron, USA We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Librarian to join our team at our English Language Library located in Akron, USA. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the library and providing excellent customer service to our patrons.Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of library operations including cataloging, collection development, circulation, and reference services.
- Develop and implement library policies and procedures.
- Select and acquire books, periodicals, electronic resources, and other materials for the library's collection.
- Organize and maintain the library's physical and digital collections.
- Provide assistance to patrons with research inquiries and information needs.
- Plan and conduct educational programs and events for all ages.
- Train and supervise library staff members.
- Maintain accurate records of library transactions.
- Collaborate with other libraries to share resources.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years experience working as a librarian in an English language library setting.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Strong knowledge of current trends in library services and technology.
- Experience with cataloging systems and electronic resources management.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent customer service skills.
