Job Description Librarian $51,000-65000 Buffalo NY Our client is seeking an engaging and technology-oriented Librarian to support attorneys and staff through legal research resources, training, knowledge management, and information services. This is an excellent opportunity for a librarian who enjoys working collaboratively, leveraging emerging technologies, and serving as a trusted resource within a professional environment. Legal library experience is preferred; however, candidates with experience in public, academic, or corporate library settings are encouraged to apply. Individuals from local library systems who are interested in pursuing legal library specialization will be considered. Legal experience is not mandatory. Responsibilities Conduct research utilizing legal and business information resources.
Assist attorneys and staff with accessing and utilizing library and research tools.
Develop and deliver training programs, webinars, and educational presentations.
Create PowerPoint presentations, resource guides, and instructional materials.
Coordinate meetings, training sessions, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Support knowledge management and information organization efforts.
Utilize and stay current with AI-powered research tools, including Lexis and other emerging technologies.
Maintain library resources and recommend enhancements to research services. Qualifications
Master's Degree in Library Science (MLS, MLIS, or equivalent) required.
Legal library experience preferred but not required.
Experience in public, academic, corporate, or special libraries will be considered.
Strong presentation, training, and communication skills.
Comfortable creating webinars, presentations, and educational content.
Interest in technology, AI-driven research tools, and innovation.
Outgoing, collaborative personality with a strong customer-service mindset.
Ability to build relationships and proactively engage with attorneys, staff, and stakeholders.
