Responsibilities Manage and curate collections, ensuring accurate cataloging, metadata creation, and resource description in accordance with archival standards and Resource Description & Access (RDA) guidelines Oversee the organization, preservation, and digitization of archival materials, implementing best practices for archival processing and data management Develop and maintain integrated library systems (ILS) to support efficient resource discovery and access Coordinate resource acquisition through grant proposal writing, budgeting, and vendor negotiations to expand collections effectively Provide exceptional customer service by assisting users with research inquiries, database navigation, and library services Lead training sessions on cataloging, metadata standards, and digital tools for staff and patrons Manage social media platforms to promote library resources, events, and digital initiatives while engaging with the community Collaborate on project management efforts related to archives management, data collection strategies, and information dissemination Skills Extensive experience in collection management, cataloging, and metadata creation aligned with archival standards Proficiency with integrated library systems (ILS), databases, and digital repositories Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Knowledge of digitization processes, archival processing techniques, and preservation standards Excellent communication skills for writing reports, grant proposals, and delivering training or presentations Familiarity with intellectual property law as it pertains to digital resources and resource sharing Ability to utilize social media tools for outreach and engagement purposes Demonstrated expertise in research methodologies, data management practices, and information management systems Join us as an ADS Librarian to be at the forefront of innovative library services—empowering users through expertly managed collections, cutting-edge digital initiatives, and impactful community engagement.
