This position is based out of Columbia Correctional Institution (Portage, WI, Columbia County). Position Summary Under general supervision of the Education Director, this position directs the library program of the Columbia Correctional Institution (CCI). This position is responsible for the operation of the institution library and law library; provision of library services to residents and staff; development and maintenance of book and other material collection; provision of reference and information services; and provision of miscellaneous programs and services to residents and staff. The Columbia Correctional Institution is an adult male, maximum security institution. Salary Information This position is in pay schedule/range 13-04 with an annual salary of $57,595 - $72,924, plus excellent benefits. Pay on appointment for current state employees may vary according to the applicable pay transaction provisions of the State Compensation Plan, Wisconsin Administrative Code, and statutes. A twelve-month probationary period is required. Job Details Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States (i.e. a citizen or national of the U.S., a lawful permanent resident, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. without DOC sponsorship) at the time of application. Qualifications The qualifications listed below will be evaluated in the first step of the selection process and must be clearly described in the letter of qualification and resume: Minimally qualified applicants will have experience in all of the following: Performing library duties (maintaining library collection, classifying and cataloging library materials, etc.) Utilizing computer technology and programs (using computers, printers, programs such as Microsoft Office, etc.) Providing information (regarding policies, reference/resource material, etc.) to employees or customers
