Research Driver's License Full Job Description JOB Minimum Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in a program that imparts a broad liberal education or equivalent.
Experience:
Minimum of three years related experience in a library setting. Requires a working knowledge of specialized practices, equipment, and procedures.
Certification/License/Other Requirement:
Valid Driver's License upon hire. Must complete all required City training courses within six months of hire.
Preferred/Desirable Qualification:
Experience in a public library setting. Master of Library and Information Science. Tell me more... The City of Peoria is looking for an innovative and well-rounded individual to join the Sunrise Mountain Library reference team. This position will provide customer service to library patrons of all ages, which will include offering reader's advisory, online catalog and database assistance, collection maintenance, bibliographic and technological instruction, and library programming. The schedule for this position will be rotating nights and weekends, depending on operational needs and staff availability. The ideal candidate for this position will be able to: Assist patrons with reference and research services, including locating materials, accessing databases, and answering inquiries. Assist patrons with eBooks and other digital library technologies. Provide patrons with excellent Reader's Advisory services across all age groups. Have familiarity with collection and popular author's series across all age groups. Assist with collection development projects to keep collections healthy and up to date. Have excellent communication skills with patrons and staff. Have familiarity with major library systems and technologies. Have ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Possess strong customer service skills and a passion for assisting patrons with their information needs.
