BASIC FUNCTION

VACANCY / POSITION SPECIFICS
Working Location:
Linda Vista Elementary School. 2772 Ulric St, San Diego, CA 92111(Area C). The District covers a large portion of San Diego County. Refer to the District Area Map School Website
Work Schedule:
10 months per year / 8 hours per week. This is a part-time opportunity and not eligible for district health and wellness benefits.
Salary:
This position is paid on the Paraeducator Salary Schedule. Grade 20. To view the Salary Schedule, click here. Positions 20 hours per week or greater qualify for District-paid health and wellness benefits for the employee and their eligible dependents. Vacancies that require the incumbent to be Bilingual will be noted. Candidates considered for positions that require bilingual skills will be invited to a Performance Test (Qualifying Only) for oral and written fluency. Bilingual positions qualify for a 5% bilingual differential.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
High School diploma/GED and a passing score on the San Diego Unified School District Classroom Assistant Proficiency Exam (CAPE) or an Associate's degree (or higher) or 48 or more eligible units of coursework at a recognized college or university. Completion of post high school courses in Psychology, Early Childhood Development, Elementary Education, Special Education, or related field is desirable.
NOTE:
Your related education and experience must be clearly represented in the work history and education section of your application.
Licenses and Other Requirements:
Personal appearance and language patterns will provide a satisfactory example to pupils. Some positions may require conversational and/or written skills in a specific foreign language related to the needs of the assignment.
