This position will require duties on both Palm Bay and Melbourne campuses. Salary & Benefit The annual salary is $31,320 . Successful internal candidates for external job postings should be aware that their current salary does not transfer to the new position. Salary will be as advertised in the job announcement. Full-time employees of Eastern Florida State College receive fringe benefits including health insurance and a retirement plan. Position Concept Support the operations necessary for the Computer Science and Cybersecurity program labs to function effectively and efficiently. Perform clerical work for lab inventory and maintenance, and office management functions supporting shop development, procedures related to the processes and equipment, material supplies, service orders, and safety. Assist instructional staff with maintaining lab equipment, tool rooms, training aids, and computer hardware/software and related materials to include academic IDF/Data Centers. Minimum Qualifications The following minimum qualifications for this position must be met before any applicant will be considered: High School Diploma or GED. Associate degree from a regionally accredited institution preferred; or completion of an applicable PSAV certificate or apprenticeship program. Good communication, writing, and customer service skills. Valid Florida Motor Vehicle Operator's license required. A review of Social Media activity will be part of the candidate evaluation process. This position will require successful fingerprinting and the candidate chosen will be required to pay the associated fee (currently $36.00). This fingerprinting fee ($36.00) is non-refundable. Understanding of and commitment to Equal Access/Equal Opportunity. Official transcripts of all collegiate work will be required to be considered beyond the application phase. • High School Diploma or GED or transcripts or official transcripts of all collegiate work (as appropriate for the position) must be sent directly from the attended institution to the Human Resources Office prior to the first day of employment. All foreign degrees must have a course-by-course official evaluation and translation sent to the Human Resources Office directly from an evaluation company affiliated with the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services, Inc.
Minimum physical qualifications:
Ability to work in a shop and lab/shop environment. Ability to work outside. Ability to work in noisy conditions, around machinery. Ability to lift, push, pull, and/or move up to 40 pounds. Ability to access, input and retrieve information and/or data from a computer. Experience with computer hardware and software, printers, etc. is a plus.
