Building:
South Side Elementary, 7 hours per day for 184 days of the school year. Position to start as soon as possible. Apply no later than 4/19/2026 $16.36 per hour, starting wage.
Supervisor:
Building Principal and the District Technology Director
Highlight of Duties:
The Media Coordinator administers an effective library media program, provides specialized instruction to students and teaching staff, and oversees the selection, organization, utilization, and maintenance of library, information, and technology resources. This person must exhibit the proper attitudes and personal qualities necessary to produce high quality library and technical service. This person will work 180 student days plus 4 additional days to prepare or close out the school year.
Requirements:
CIRCULATION/LIBRARY -RELATED DUTIES
  • Train teachers and students in the use of the online catalog and databases.
  • Assist students and teachers in the location of print and non-print resources.
  • Check books and materials in and out to students and teachers using the computerized circulation system.
  • Maintain records of overdues, lost books, and fines for the purpose of providing and/or maintaining access to library resources and securing reimbursement for losses.
  • Monitor student use of the library for the purpose of maintaining a safe environment conducive to learning.
  • Shelve print and non-print materials.
  • Perform year-end inventory procedures.
  • Develop and maintain a collection of resources appropriate to the curriculum, the learners, and the teaching styles and instructional strategies used within the school community.
  • Organize the collection for maximum and effective use.
  • Enhance the appearance of the library by creating and maintaining displays, general cleaning, and/or organizing tasks.
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to develop curricular content that integrates library media and technology skills.
  • Classifies, catalogs, and circulates library materials.
Obtains basic or copy cataloging information for newly acquired materials.
TECHNOLOGY- RELATED DUTIES
  • Utilize the ENSC Technology Curriculum as a basis for curricular and instructional planning.
  • Present the prepared Technology Curriculum with the support of the Media Specialist and Curriculum Coordinator.
  • Assist teachers and students in the operation of equipment.
  • Distribute equipment for use in classrooms; maintain equipment records and assist with inventory.
  • Maintain adequate supplies for equipment and the library.
  • Have a willingness to keep abreast of changing technologies and to assume new responsibilities required by the introduction of new services and equipment.
  • Oversee and assist in daily help desk operations.
  • Troubleshoot software and network connectivity problems for students.
  • Oversee and log tickets for student computer repairs.
  • Schedule appointments for student technology workers.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 60 college credits, Associate's Degree, Paraprofessional certification Or be willing to take and pass Paraprofessional certification test Ability to operate audio-visual equipment, computers, and various office machines. Ability to communicate and work with adults and students effectively. Ability to be organized and flexible.
