Library Aide/Cataloger, Adams Free Library (Adams)
The Town of Adams is seeking a qualified individual to fill a Library Aide/Cataloguer position for the Adams Free Library. This position assists in performing general library duties at the main circulation desk, and may help with research activities, programs and youth services. Work includes the shelving of circulating materials returned to the Library, and maintaining these materials in correct order for efficient retrieval. The Library Aide/Cataloguer assists with the physical processing and discarding of library materials. This is a permanent, part-time position (19 hours per week) with a pay range of $17.27 - $22.67 per hour (12 step schedule). The schedule includes evening and Saturday hours. Qualifications
A successful candidate requires a high school diploma; one year of public service experience, preferably in a library; or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Telephone and computer proficiency are required and experience using an automated library system is preferred. Knowledge of library methods and procedures as well as an appreciation and ability for detail and superior eye-to-hand coordination are desired. Must relate well to the public. Full/Part Time
