Job Description

Required:
2 years of college coursework and/or previous and relevant library experience Intermediate office skills (filing, alphabetizing, sorting, accurate typing) Able to perform essential physical demands includes but is not limited to: frequent standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, balancing, stooping/bending, reaching and handling Microsoft Office Excel, Google Drive apps Demonstrated ability to work independently Able to work in a variety of Library locations across St. Paul Campus Ability to push carts weighing up to 500 lbs with assistance
Preferred:
Demonstrated ability to communicate well with both verbal and written skills Ability to demonstrate problem-solving skills Attention to detail in an environment with repetitive tasks Demonstrated ability to adapt to a changing environment Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other staff Previous experience working with Library material and shelving books Ability to manage multiple workflows simultaneously This position is a non-academic, short-term, 67 workdays or less appointment.
Work Schedule and Location:
On campus in St Paul, Monday - Friday •This position is not eligible for H-1B visa sponsorship.
JOB DUTIES
Work independently on a variety of tasks related to sending collection material to the CF, Wilson Government Publications, and NRL (60%) Organize shipments and maintain quality control of loaded shipments. (10%) Provide oversight of students who are loading collections on to carts in the absence of Collection Management Operations Specialist (10%) Independent troubleshooting of problems (10%) Communicate with staff at multiple locations about the project and project needs (5%) Travel between St. Paul Campus Library locations as needed throughout the day (5%) Applications must be submitted online.
