Roseville Area Schools has a vacancy for a Media Technology and Testing Assistant at Emmet D. Williams Elementary School. This position works 8.0 hours per day, following a 176-day calendar, starting September 1, 2026. The Media Technology and Testing Assistant functions as a member of the building media/tech team under the direction of the principal, the building media specialist, and the district assessment coordinator. Technology Support Responsibilities Assists and supports students and staff in the use of information technology resources such as computer systems, audio-visual/multimedia equipment and programs, emerging technologies. Assists district technology services department with technology support. Assists in maintaining mobile devices, includes iPads and mobile carts. Assists with the ordering, receiving, processing, and discarding, inventorying of media center materials (including catalogging of new books materials). Check books out to students. Check all books into the library and put away. Answers telephone and in-person inquiries in a diplomatic and helpful manner and provides direct help or information. Generates reports, including transaction lists, overdue notices, and circulation reports. Monitors behavior of students in the media center in accordance with building values, mission and goals and helps maintain a positive, supportive, on-task learning environment. Other duties as assigned Testing Coordinator Responsibilities Coordinates testing schedules in cooperation with the principal, creates testing sessions and print materials. Works with the principal to conduct test proctor and test security training. Ensures that all students complete/participate in the necessary assessments. Organizes accommodations and specialized technology computerized setups as needed. Provides technical support for computerized testing devices. Ensures that all users/test monitors have completed required training. Other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to prioritize work to best support the school learning environment, with direction from the principal (or designee), media specialist, and district testing coordinator. Willingness to assist students and staff in developing their information technology skills. Ability to work effectively as a team member with media center staff, district media/technology department, administration, and others. Ability to maintain a positive, supportive, on-task learning environment. Ability to communicate courteously, sensitively, and with good will. Other Work Requirements Expected to consult with supervisor and/or district technology support when a problem arises. Uses good judgment in communicating with staff and students. Consults with supervisor on potentially controversial matters.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Compensation:
Starting salary range is $19.42
  • $25.
01 per hour per the paraprofessionals and media technology group employee contract, plus a district contribution toward health and dental insurance.
