8:15 a.m.-11:15 a.m. Sept-June, 3 days a week, currently M/W/F, though alternative weekdays may be considered.
Position Start Date:
August 28, 2026 Job Summary The library assistant supports the librarian in the smooth running of the student and curriculum libraries by assisting students and teachers with questions, checking books in and out, and helping to maintain the physical collection and the digital card catalog. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Familiarize yourself with our collection of books and other materials Familiarize yourself with the Follett Destiny catalogue system with the expectation of checking books in and out, entering data, creating book labels, etc. Interact with students and staff members regarding the student library collection and the curriculum library collection, including both the content and procedures Re-shelve books and help keep both the student library and the curriculum library orderly Process and prepare new books for the student library and curriculum collection eg. stamping, labeling, covering Repair damaged books Other duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor's Degree preferred Prior experience in schools and/or libraries preferred Willingness to learn and work with a digital card catalog Application Please apply via the link below, and provide the following: A cover letter and current resume Three professional references, including names, telephone numbers, and email addresses In addition to a standard cover letter, please respond to the following questions in no more than 500 words.
