Aug 3, 2026 Job Description Math Certification Required Part-time Tuesdays, Thursdays, and every other Friday Arkansas Arts Academy is seeking a dynamic and passionate educator to teach math at a middle school level. This position will be responsible for setting the foundation for preparing students for secondary level math skills. All teachers at Arkansas Arts Academy are required to integrate art into the core curriculum. Teachers who are already familiar with Google's digital tools for learning will have an advantage. Teachers will work with department heads and their interdisciplinary teams to ensure vertical and horizontal curriculum alignment within the district and participate in the PLC process to identify essential standards, use data to determine student learning gaps, and analyze formative assessments in order to make instructional decisions.
Responsibilities:
Teach individual students/groups middle school math. Organizes classroom to offer a positive and student-centered learning environment Plan lessons in relation to class and individual students' goals and interests Establish goals and learning objectives for classes Provide individual and small-group instruction to adapt the curriculum to the needs of students with varying abilities Evaluate student's performance and growth in knowledge and ability, and prepare progress reports Maintain discipline, set class expectations with realistic rules of conduct Communicate with parents and school counselors on student progress; maintain assessment records for each student and prepares reports as required by school Maintain discipline, set class expectations with realistic rules of conduct Instruct students to respect the classroom environment and properly care for all learning tools Maintain professional competence through in-service education activities provided by the school and/or in self-selected professional growth activities Preparing students for state and national assessments Maintain regular and punctual attendance Follow operational policies and procedures High standards of professionalism and professional ethics; model integrity, honesty, and respect that promotes the culture, values, and mission of Arkansas Arts Academy Ability to teach different skill levels and a variety learning styles Teachers must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to the school Background check Strong interpersonal skills Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new environments Ability to connect with a wide range of students of different ages and backgrounds Know how to make the learning process enjoyable and fun Responsiveness to work-related emails and phone calls Maintain a collaborative work environment with a team of colleagues Attend departmental meetings and professional development opportunities A positive, fun, and enthusiastic personality with a passion for teaching!
Working Conditions:
Teachers will be working in fully air conditioned and ADA compliant building spaces. The position does require moving to duty locations and within the classroom to monitor student behavior and independent work.

Minimum Experience Requirements:
Experience working with teenagers in a structured setting.
Preferred Experience Requirements:
1-3 years of teaching experience at the middle school level.
Minimum Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree and certification in Middle School or High School Math
