REQUIREMENTS

Appropriate California Credential to teach Secondary (9-12)

Mathematics Education:

Bachelor's Degree and all courses needed to meet credential requirements. Possess the ability to contribute to a team effort to educate Corning Union High School students in a positive educational environment Demonstrated competence and successful experience in teaching or student teaching in a high school setting in Mathematics. Ability to work with students and motivate them to perform up to their potential Qualification and ability to be versatile in a teaching assignment Experience working with high school students Experience working with Special Population Students, English Language Learners (ELL), and At-Risk Students Ability, experience, and willingness to coach boys/girls athletics or supervise other extracurricular student activities

ABILITY TO

Use English properly, including spelling, punctuation, and grammar. Follow oral and written directions. Work with and maintain the integrity of confidential materials. Be multi-tasked and meet deadlines. Communicate well with students, parents, teachers, and the community. Utilize excellent verbal ability to communicate directly with students and counselors and to lead workshops or speak to a group. Utilize interpersonal skills such as tact, patience, and courtesy.

SALARY/ TERMS OF SERVICE

Present salary based on 182 days of service, entry-level from $54,370 to $77,019 annually toward family medical, dental, and vision plans.
