Job Summary Job Summary Responsible for delivering high-quality, student-centered instruction aligned with the California Common Core State Standards (CCSS-M) and the state's Mathematics Framework that target the 6th-grade core areas: mastering ratios and proportional relationships, developing an understanding of the number system (including negative numbers), introducing algebraic expressions and equations, and exploring statistical variability. Functioning within a middle school framework, the teacher must utilize differentiated teaching strategies to support diverse learner profiles—including English Learners and students with IEPs. Beyond curriculum delivery, the role requires robust classroom management, continuous formative and summative assessment to track student growth, and proactive collaboration with colleagues, administrators, and parents to foster a supportive, equitable learning environment.
