Campus Principal (The Russian School of Mathematics, Inc.; Mission Viejo, CA): The Campus Principal serves as the educational leader and the chief administrator of their branch of Russian School of Mathematics (RSM), a private after school mathematic enrichment program. Specific responsibilities with percentage of time spent on each duty are: Developing and implementing policies, regulations, procedures, and curriculum activities in a manner that promotes the educational development of each student and the professional development of each staff member that meets the approved curricula and mission of the school (3%). Supervising all staff working in the branch, ensuring they have appropriate training, recruiting and hiring, and overseeing multi-year professional development of all teachers and staff. (10%). Overseeing the branch operations, including approving and reviewing expenses, ensuring the school and classrooms are safe and ready for classes, and arranging appropriate coverage for classes in case of emergency, substitution, etc. (2%). Ensuring timely collection of all tuition and approving any refunds, overseeing record keeping by all staff, and ensuring a timely and correct payroll (5%). Ensuring all students are appropriately supervised at all times, supervising scheduled events (workshops, homework help, teacher meetings, etc.), and enforcing school policies (5%). Driving student growth and penetration within the branches core towns and establishing a professional rapport with their staff and parents/customers (30%). Ensuring appropriate student placement through evaluations, monitoring student progress, and moving students as appropriate (30%). Working on the improvement of the curriculum so that students learn core concepts to build upon (1%). Resolving parent disputes and/or escalations during the day while providing excellent customer service and a safe environment (2%). Triaging and responding to any serious incidents in a manner consistent with the school's emergency protocols and incident reporting procedures (2%). Maintaining branch premises and operations consistent with RSM's brand, mission and values, including working with HQ to create and enforce school policies, enforcing academic quality and consistency with RSM's curriculum in all classes, and protecting RSM curriculum and intellectual property (5%). Teaching mathematics to students according to RSM methodology and curriculum, including preparing lessons; reviews students' homework, develops, plans, and delivers lessons that reflect RSM curriculum and teaching methods (5%). RSM is not a traditional school; it is an after-school self-enrichment program that empowers grade school students at all levels (K-12) to achieve excellence in mathematics through a specialized curriculum.
Minimum requirements:
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Education Administration, Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, or related mathematical field or equivalent, plus 2 years of classroom teaching experience.
Must have:
2 years of full-time or part-time classroom teaching experience in schools or afterschool programs using the Vygotsky method of teaching mathematics.
Salary:
