Job Summary Job Summary SUMMARY:
Gold Oak Union School District is seeking a Teacher for the purpose/s of facilitating student success in academics and interpersonal skills through implementing District approved curriculum; documenting teaching and student progress/activities/outcomes; addressing specific educational needs of students; and providing feedback to students, parents and administration.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
- Instructs students for the purpose of improving their success in academic and interpersonal skills through a defined course of study.
- Implements lesson plans for the purpose of implementing District and state curriculum guidelines.
- Prepares teaching materials and documentation e.g. grades, attendance, etc. for the purpose of implementing lesson plans and providing written support and/or conveying information.
- Advises parents or legal guardians for the purpose of providing a method to support and/or reinforce classroom objectives in the home setting.
- Assists other teachers for the purpose of implementing curriculum.
- Assesses student for the purpose of providing feedback to students, parents, and administration i.e. students progress, expectations, goals, etc.
- Collaborates with school personnel, parents and community resources for the purpose of improving the quality of student outcomes, developing solutions and planning curriculum.
- Monitors student activities e.g. classroom, lunch, grounds, etc. for the purpose of providing a safe and optimal learning environment.
- Reports incidents e.g., suspected child abuse, suspected substances abuse, etc. for the purpose of maximizing students personal safety and adhering to Education Code, district and/or school policies.
- Directs instructional assistants, volunteers and/or student aides for the purpose of providing an effective school program and ensuring that the needs of the students are met.
