Job Description

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement instructional design strategies to engage students in mathematics learning.
  • Create lesson plans and educational materials that align with curriculum standards.
  • Utilize various teaching methods and techniques to accommodate different learning styles.
  • Provide academic advising and guidance to students regarding course selection and career paths.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback on assignments and assessments.
  • Collaborate with other teachers, administrators, and support staff to ensure a positive learning environment.
  • Utilize behavior management strategies to maintain classroom discipline and promote a respectful atmosphere.
  • Provide individual or small group tutoring to students who need additional support.
  • Stay updated on current research and best practices in mathematics education.
Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Teaching certification or licensure in Mathematics.
  • Experience teaching mathematics at the secondary level (Kindergarten, middle school or high school).
  • Knowledge of instructional design principles and strategies.
  • Familiarity with special education accommodations and modifications for students with diverse learning needs.
  • Ability to utilize library services and research tools to enhance instruction.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for mentoring and building relationships with students.
  • Experience in scientific research or data analysis is a plus.
