Our mission is to promote the holistic development of each child through an authentic and experiential student learning experience. This is accomplished by educating students in the formation of faith, family, and community. RISE Academy strives to develop the whole child by providing excellence in academic preparation within a faith-based environment. Our vision is to guide and nurture students to become role models who exhibit high levels of God-consciousness, professional excellence, and civic leadership through service to society at large. Position Overview RISE Academy is seeking a part-time High School Math teacher for the 2026-2027 school year . The teacher will be responsible for teaching one advanced math course , such as Geometry, Algebra 2, Precalculus, or Calculus , depending on campus needs, student enrollment, and the teacher's qualifications. This is a part-time role with limited teaching hours , currently expected to include approximately 5 teaching periods per week . The schedule is intended to be especially compatible with qualified candidates who are available to teach during the first teaching period and then continue with other professional responsibilities or work commitments for the remainder of the day. Community Outreach:
Communicates professionally and regularly with students, families, teachers, and administrators to support student success. Responsibilities Include Planning, developing, and implementing lesson plans that fulfill the requirements of the school's instructional program Preparing lessons that reflect accommodations for differences in student abilities and learning styles Supporting students with diverse learning needs and implementing relevant accommodations as appropriate Modifying instruction as needed for students with documented support plans, including IEPs or 504 plans, in coordination with school leadership Providing students with appropriate learning activities and experiences designed to support intellectual, spiritual, emotional, and social growth Conducting ongoing assessments of student achievement through formal and informal methods Providing feedback, remediation, and support to help students work toward mastery Creating a classroom environment conducive to active, respectful, and successful student learning Establishing and maintaining effective communication with students, parents, teachers, and administrators Participating in limited staff meetings, training, or professional development activities as appropriate for the position Completing required documentation, grading, and communication in a timely manner Abiding by the staff handbook, school policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations Supporting the broader mission and culture of RISE Academy Performing other duties as assigned Required Skills/Qualities Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Math, Science, Computer Science, Education, or a related field Strong knowledge of math curriculum and instruction Knowledge of assigned subject areas and current instructional best practices Ability to differentiate instruction based on student needs Ability to effectively manage a classroom and support positive student behavior Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with students, families, and colleagues Skill in modifying instruction for various student learning needs Ability to use classroom and instructional technology, including computers, calculators, projectors, and online learning tools Ability to use common productivity tools, including email, internet, word processing, spreadsheets, and learning management or grading platforms Ability to work in a collaborative, team-based school environment Preferred Skills/Qualities 2+ years of teaching experience in a formal setting Master's degree in Math, Science, Computer Science, Education, Curriculum and Instruction, or another education-related field Valid teaching credential Experience teaching middle school or high school math Experience working in a faith-based, private, or mission-driven school environment Schedule This is a part-time position with an anticipated teaching load of approximately 5 periods per week . The schedule is expected to be concentrated in the early morning , making it compatible with candidates who would like to teach at the beginning of the school day and then continue with other work or professional commitments. Final scheduling will be determined based on student enrollment, course needs, and teacher availability. Compensation Compensation is based on teaching credentials, work experience, academic degrees, certifications, and the final teaching assignment. Children of staff members may be eligible for tuition discounts, depending on employment status and school policy.
