Exempt Description:
A High School Math Teacher is responsible for passionately providing academic instruction in the field of mathematics, promoting a positive respectful learning environment, while promoting the school mission and vision and upholding school policies.
Areas of Expected Proficiencies:
Passionately and effectively provide academic instruction in math to ensure student growth in the area of mathematics. Provide group instruction and individual support for all students to ensure mastery of lessons Differentiate daily lessons to meet the needs of all students. Maintain classroom management that fosters a safe, positive environment for all students to excel following school, state, and all applicable laws and regulations. Plan for class activities, including preparing units and daily lesson plans, identifying materials to implement class activities, preparing class projects, giving students feedback on completed work to ensure mastery of presented material, and grading tests and assignments promptly. Communicate with parents regularly about schedules, assignments, events, and individual student needs bi-weekly or as determined by the teacher and parent. This includes meeting with parents during Parent-Teacher Conferences. Collaborates as a team player with teaching colleagues and administration. Maintain an up-to-date gradebook. Collaborate with other teachers for cross-curricular opportunities. Attend weekly meetings. Supports school by attending school-sponsored events and activities Commits to being a life-long learner by ensuring ongoing professional development. Integrates technology in the classroom. Effectively engage students, caring for them through relational ministry while simultaneously taking responsibility for upholding high academic standards, helping students achieve their maximum Communicate, engage, and collaborate with fellow faculty and staff in a collegial and supportive manner Demonstrate professional practices in teaching in alignment with Rancho guidelines and policies Follow the policies of Rancho Christian Secondary Employee Handbook and the Rancho Employee Handbook.

Actively and collaboratively participate as a member of the school faculty Keep phone and email communications responsive Perform all other duties as assigned
Spiritual Qualifications:
Demonstrates a passion for Christ and his Kingdom through personal spiritual discipline and public ministry. Seeks to grow in that relationship with Christ through personal spiritual discipline, education, accountability, and service to his Kingdom. Implements biblical integration into daily lessons.
Professional Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in math-related field of study from an accredited university or college required California Teaching credential required Minimum 3 years of experience Master's degree desirable Ability to effectively teach multiple levels of mathematics Command of subject matter and ability to wisely engage students Ability to comply with both written and oral instructions Proficiency in maintaining efficient classroom management skills Proficiency in demonstrating effective organizational skills Self-motivated Exhibits an enthusiasm for mathematics Desire to serve in co-curricular activities, such as athletics or arts, welcomed Obtain a certificate of negative result for TB screening before hire Cleared live scan background check
