IT Instructor

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Computer Basics Instructor to join our educational team. This position involves teaching foundational computer skills, including tools like Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and internet navigation. The ideal candidate will foster a positive and engaging learning environment, helping students build the digital skills necessary for academic and professional success.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and deliver lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and learning objectives in computer literacy. Instruct students in the use of basic computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, email, and internet safety. Create hands-on activities and exercises that enhance learning and real-world application. Assess student progress through assignments, quizzes, and practical demonstrations. Provide timely and constructive feedback to support individual student growth. Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and progress reports. Collaborate with peers to improve teaching strategies and share instructional materials. Stay informed on current trends and best practices in digital education and instructional technology. Attend and participate in staff meetings and ongoing professional development opportunities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

A degree from a recognized institution is required; a background in education or computer science is preferred. Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to simplify complex computer concepts for beginners. Strong classroom management and organizational abilities. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and cloud-based tools like Google Workspace. Patience and adaptability to support diverse learning styles and student backgrounds. Commitment to fostering an inclusive and respectful classroom environment.
