Teach Engaging Mathematics Courses:
Facilitate learning in courses ranging from Pre-Algebra through Calculus , aligned with
Colorado Academic Standards Develop Meaningful Lessons:
Create engaging lessons and activities that spark curiosity, promote conceptual understanding, and ensure mastery of mathematical skills and standards
Deliver Strong Instructional Practices:
Implement structured instructional models including Madeline Hunter ("I do, we do, you do") , direct instruction, and active engagement strategies to promote student growth
Ensure Strong Instructional Delivery and Classroom Environment:
Promote active student engagement, meaningful discourse, classroom routines, and fidelity to curriculum and pacing expectations Create a
Positive Learning Environment:
Establish a classroom culture that is safe, respectful, structured, and motivating for all learners
Track and Communicate Student Progress:
Grade assignments and assessments in a timely manner, monitor achievement, analyze data, and communicate regularly with students and families Collaborate with
Staff and Families:
Work alongside colleagues, Learning Specialists, intervention teams, and families to ensure student success and continuous improvement Who You Are We're looking for someone who:
Has Strong Mathematical Content Knowledge:
You have a deep understanding of mathematics concepts from foundational skills through advanced secondary coursework Is Committed to
Student Success:

You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and build strong relationships with students, families, and staff

High-Expectations Environment:
You value consistency, accountability, instructional fidelity, and strong classroom culture Minimum Qualifications Valid Colorado Teaching License with endorsement in Secondary Mathematics OR 36 credit hours in Mathematics OR passing score on the PRAXIS Mathematics exam (required) Specific knowledge of assigned mathematics subject areas Previous teaching experience preferred, or experience working with children Strong written and oral communication skills Experience with Teach Like A Champion , direct instruction, or structured teaching models preferred Willingness to collaborate through vertical alignment, benchmarks, rubrics, exemplars, and schoolwide instructional systems Why Join Victory Preparatory Academy?
