Responsible for developing healthy students and community: A Mancos School District High School Teacher cultivates a warm and welcoming learning environment and is responsible for building a culture of trust, belonging, and social-emotional safety. The teacher is responsible for fostering a classroom where taking risks is encouraged while ensuring every student feels respected and empowered. To support this growth, the teacher actively engages families as essential partners, maintaining open communication and involving them in the celebration of their child's growth and learning. Responsible for creating an engaging learning environment: A Mancos School High School Mathematics Teacher is a "designer of learning" who moves beyond a traditional approach to create an active, engaging learning environment. The teacher will work closely with colleagues to facilitate immersive learning that connects core subjects to real-world challenges, guiding students to investigate, analyze, and create. By acting as a mentor and coach, the teacher provides the scaffolding and feedback necessary for students to meet and exceed grade-level standards and produce high-quality work. Through data-informed instruction, the teacher consistently assesses progress to ensure every student is supported in reaching their full potential. The High School Science Teacher is one of four mathematics teachers in the Secondary School.
