Mathematics Teacher SCHOOL:
Middle School Responsibilities will include: Teach middle school mathematics courses (grades 6-8) in alignment with district curriculum and Connecticut standards Develop and deliver engaging lessons that promote mathematical reasoning, problem-solving, critical thinking, and real-world application of mathematical concepts Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, technology, and assessment practices to support student learning and achievement Differentiate instruction to meet the academic, social, and emotional needs of diverse learners Assess student learning and provide timely, meaningful feedback to students and families Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment that supports student growth and collaboration
QUALIFICATIONS
Valid Connecticut Certification:
029 Mathematics (Grades 712 / Grades 4-12) required or NY equivalent to work toward certification reciprocity. Strong knowledge of middle school mathematics curriculum, instructional strategies, and assessment practices Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Commitment to fostering an inclusive and student-centered learning environment
