Position Summary Life Prep Christian Academy is seeking a passionate and Christ-centered Middle/High School Math Teacher to join our Olga Baptist Church Campus. The ideal candidate will inspire students in grades 6-12 while fostering critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a positive learning environment rooted in biblical values. Students complete their daily math instruction using Teaching Textbooks, an interactive, technology-based curriculum that provides video instruction, guided practice, and automatic grading. While students work independently through the program, the Math Teacher plays a vital role in monitoring progress, providing academic support, answering questions, reinforcing concepts, and offering additional instruction when needed. The ideal candidate should be comfortable assisting students with a variety of middle and high school math concepts and be equipped to explain material in multiple ways to support different learning styles. This position focuses on facilitating student success, building confidence in mathematics, and providing individualized support while maintaining a positive and encouraging classroom environment. Responsibilities Oversee and support students in grades 6-12 as they complete their math coursework through Teaching Textbooks. Monitor student progress and provide individualized assistance and intervention when needed. Answer student questions and provide additional instruction to reinforce mathematical concepts. Foster a classroom environment that promotes academic excellence, respect, and spiritual growth. Assess student understanding and communicate progress with parents and administration. Utilize technology and digital resources to enhance learning. Collaborate with fellow teachers and administration to support student success. Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student performance. Integrate biblical worldview and character development into daily interactions with students. Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and school events. Support students academically, socially, and spiritually. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years teaching experience (homeschool or classroom experience preferred). Strong understanding of middle and high school mathematics. Ability to explain mathematical concepts clearly and effectively. Excellent classroom management and organizational skills. Strong verbal and written communication abilities. Passion for Christian education and discipleship. Joyful, flexible, and team-oriented attitude. Agreement with Life Prep Christian Academy's Statement of Faith. Preferred Qualifications Candidates will be given preference if they possess experience with: Montessori, Reggio Emilia, Waldorf, or Orton-Gillingham educational methodologies.
