Upper School Math Teacher The Upper School Math Teacher will inspire students, foster a passion for mathematics, and support their academic, social, and spiritual growth in alignment with the school's mission and a Biblical worldview.Reports To:

Prefer a valid Georgia teaching certificate with required endorsements for the subject and level assigned Bachelor's degree in education and/or equivalent required subject hours Masters degree required with at least 18 hours in math or math education Knowledge of subjects assigned General knowledge of curriculum and instruction Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior Strong organizational, computer, communication, and interpersonal skills Teaching experience preferred Coaching experience and availability preferredEmployee Profile:

Professional Conduct:
Adhere to all policies outlined in the Employee Agreement and Handbook, upholding the highest standards of professionalism and Christian values.Curriculum and Instruction:
Develop engaging math units and lessons aligned with the NCCS Learning Outcomes and school curriculum maps. Lessons should incorporate various instructional methods—such as demonstrations, technology integration, and real-world examples—to foster deep conceptual understanding and critical thinking. Instruction should incorporate a Biblical worldview and reflect a Christian philosophy of education.Student Learning and Assessment:
Evaluate and monitor student progress through diagnostic, formative, and summative assessments, assignments, and projects. Provide timely, constructive feedback to help students grow academically, personally, and spiritually. Promote active engagement, confidence, and curiosity in mathematical learning.Classroom Management:
Create and maintain a safe, organized, positive classroom environment conducive to learning and growth. Manage student behavior by establishing clear expectations, rules, and procedures that foster mutual respect and a productive atmosphere.Communication and Support:
Maintain open and consistent communication with parents regarding academic progress, achievements, and any areas of concern. Collaborate effectively with colleagues, administration, and support staff to advance school goals and initiatives. Prepare instructional plans and materials for substitute teachers when necessary.Professional Growth:
Pursue ongoing professional development by attending workshops, reviewing current professional literature, and engaging in opportunities for collaboration and growth with peers. Stay current in research-based and innovative teaching methods and math content to bring excellence into the classroom.Administrative Duties:
Maintain accurate student attendance records, grades, and behavior. Follow all school procedures for emergencies and ensure compliance with relevant federal, state, and local regulations.Additional Responsibilities:
Support students beyond the classroom by advising them on academic, vocational, and career-related goals. Contribute to the school's continuous improvement efforts and strategic goals as directed by the Principal. Complete other duties as assigned, serving the broader needs of the school community with a spirit of service.Other Information:
