The Math Instructor performs as an instructor in a regular classroom setting, presenting instructions in designated subject areas.
Schedule:
Monday-Thursday 7am-5:30pm
Duties/Responsibilities:
Help students achieve improved standardized testing scores in math Integrate project-based learning activities into the academic classroom curriculum Effectively relate to the student population and recognize student success in the classroom Provide mentorship to create a positive atmosphere and promote student engagement Maintain academic classroom and testing integrity Complete classroom attendance throughout the day Document student performance, progress, and concerns Maintain adequate classroom cleanliness Perform all other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Minimum:
Bachelor's degree with a Standard or Initial teaching license in the State of Iowa.
Preferred:
Minimum plus one year in a teaching capacity with disadvantaged youth.
Knowledge:
Knowledge of required subject area, excellent communication skills, both oral and written, excellent organizational skills, must obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid Certification, ability to motivate and inspire students, ability to effectively relate to student population.
