About Timberline Schools
Timberline School is a small K-12 school serving the communities of Fraser, Weippe, Pierce, Cardiff, and
Headquarters; collectively known as "the hilltop." The community is very rural and offers great outdoor
recreation, including hunting, fishing, hiking, ATV riding, camping, skiing, and more. We focus on student
leadership utilizing The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, and develop students' leadership potential
from Kindergarten all the way through high school, and have low student-to-teacher ratios and
opportunities for involvement in extracurricular activities.
Position Overview
Timberline Schools is seeking a qualified and dedicated Secondary Math Teacher to join our faculty. This
position involves instructing students in grades 9-12, with specific course assignments based on
candidate expertise and departmental needs. The successful candidate will be responsible for fostering
a rigorous learning environment that prepares students for post-secondary success, whether in higher
education or the workforce. Beyond the core math curriculum, we are highly interested in candidates
with the versatility or endorsement to lead elective courses. There are opportunities to shape our
elective offerings in areas such as Career and Technical Education (CTE), Business, Computer Science,
or Spanish, depending on the qualifications and interests of the teacher. Qualifications
Idaho teaching certificate with appropriate endorsement(s).

Alternative Authorization paths to certification. If you have a strong math background and are eligible
for an Idaho alternative route, we encourage you to apply.
Strong background in teaching methods, developmentally appropriate classroom activities, and
effective classroom management
Demonstrated knowledge of subject matter and effective teaching methods
Strong background in curriculum and the Idaho Core Standards
Strong background in the integration of technology with instruction
Ability to maintain a positive learning environment
Work well with students, staff, and the public
Excellent organizational skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Able to work under deadlines
Maintain confidentiality of staff and students
Demonstrate consistent, daily attendance and punctuality. We believe that student achievement is
directly tied to the consistency of instruction and the stability of the classroom environment
Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening
