Job Description

Dr. John Ochsner Discovery Health Sciences Academy seeks a math interventionist with Master's degree in Math, Math Education, Special Education, and/or Curriculum and Instruction; state certification in secondary education is preferred; 5 years+ experience with small group academic support for middle school students with proven record of increasing mathematical skills. Knowledge of RTI, Behavior Intervention Plan( BIP), and current legal policy in regard to IAPs and 504 accommodations is required. Experience with instructional coaching and pushing into classrooms is an asset. Ability to work in collaboration with a wide array of teachers and school leaders is essential. Knowledge of the Louisiana Student Standards and the
LEAP2025
Assessments is required. Interest in leading extracurricular student activities is a plus. Position available August 2024.
