General Statement of Duties:
Roxbury Community College offers a wide range of mathematics courses, including but not limited to, corequisite mathematics, calculus, statistics, quantitative reasoning, and Math for
Technology Teaching Duties/Responsibilities:
Provide instruction of his/her assigned course(s) such as corequisite mathematics, calculus, statistics, quantitative reasoning, and Math for Technology Preparing syllabi and following course objectives for each course taught. Meeting deadlines for student progress reports, recommendations and grades. Responsible for creating a classroom environment which fosters students' academic growth and guides their professional development. Responsible for the creation and revision of daily lesson plans. Responsible for accurate record keeping of student attendance and academic progress. Correct and return quizzes, tests and lab assignments in a timely manner to students. Utilize instructional and audiovisual aids, and all available resources. Follow a syllabus for each course, following established institutional guidelines. Meets with and advises students before and after class or by appointment. Evaluate students to measure their progress in achieving course objectives and inform students in a timely manner of their progress. Maintains professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.
Requirements:
Requirements:
All candidates must have legal authorization to work in the United States. Master's degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, Engineering or related Science field. One years teaching experience at the college level.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with students from diverse social, cultural, and economic backgrounds who possess wide ranges of academic abilities and interests. Familiarity with Jenzabar or similar online learning applications. Teaching Experience at a Community College. Demonstrated ability to provide diverse teaching methods to different learning styles. Experience with Online teaching and OER.
