Position:
Math Teacher What You'll Do Teach small classes with an average of 5 students (maximum of 15 per program). Provide a personalized curriculum to students with diverse learning needs. Collaborate with a team of special education, art, and vocational teachers. Foster a compassionate and equitable learning environment. Who We're Looking For A current Massachusetts secondary teacher licensure in Math. Experience working with at-risk youth is a plus. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree from an accredited College or University Current Massachusetts secondary level teacher licensure in Math. Strong written and oral communication skills Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle or method for attending trainings or other meetings as required at locations throughout the state Preferred Qualifications Master's Degree from an accredited College or University Successful teaching experience with adolescents placed at-risk Work Conditions Ability to handle interruptions and maintain productivity. Ability to work with diverse personalities. Skilled in working both independently and collaboratively. May be subject to locked settings where the threat of verbal abuse and physical violence exists. Possible exposure to communicable diseases. Employees are expected to follow CES Workplace Safety Standards and DYS Workplace Safety Standards. Terms of Employment Full-time, 185 day contract, CES/DYS School Calendar Monday - Friday, 8 hours/day
Salary Range:
$59,203 to $81,804 Starting salary will depend on level of licensure, education and experience Teachers are part of a bargaining unit represented by
