High School Math Teacher (full time) - Anticipated Opening

Job Description:

The Public Schools of Brookline seeks a High School Math Teacher. This is a full-time position. Duties include but are not limited to: Teach 4 or 5 sections of mathematics Demonstrate appropriate long and short term preparation for classroom instruction Hold high expectations for all students Employ a variety of teaching techniques, strategies, materials, and technology to maximize the learning of each student, individually and in group settings Continuously assess student progress, providing students and caregivers with specific feedback. Use the results of assessments to adjust instruction as needed Collaborate with colleagues to examine student data, plan curriculum, and ensure appropriate learning experiences for all students Establish and maintain a functional, attractive, orderly, and safe classroom environment that is conducive to student learning and builds a sense of community

Required Qualifications:

DESE Math certification, 9-12 Bachelor's Degree Strong Math content knowledge Knowledge about High School pedagogy and the developmental needs of students Ability to assess learning using a variety of methods A strong foundation in student-centered pedagogy Excellent classroom management skills SEI endorsement

Preferred Qualifications:
