JOB DESCRIPTION
Blue Hills Regional Technical School's mission is to continue its history of academic achievement, technical training, and character development through a curriculum that emphasizes the integration of cutting-edge technical programs and challenging academic courses, enabling its students to become competent, caring, and productive people in a diverse and changing world. A mathematics teacher at Blue Hills can expect to:
  • Work with a diverse student body from nine surrounding communities to support the students' academic and social-emotional needs
  • Design and implement lessons with UDL strategies that promote students' proficiency in high school mathematics
  • Prepare students for the Mathematics MCAS
  • Assume responsibility for the academic progress of all students
  • Utilize online resources to expand connections to the sciences
  • Work with department members and the Academic Director to ensure alignment to current Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks and district initiatives
  • Promote a school-wide culture of respect and responsibility
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to learn new and broaden existing skills
  • The candidate should possess strong written and verbal communication skills and may be assigned other duties by the administration.
COMPENSATION
  • In accordance with the BHEA Contract - $66,019.
43 to $119,127.78
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Massachusetts Educator License in Mathematics, 8-12
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues in a highly motivated team
