Aug 31, 2026 Job Description Ursuline Academy is seeking a dynamic and student-centered Math Teacher to join our faculty. This role is responsible for teaching a range of mathematics courses for students in grades 7-12, including AP Calculus AB and BC. The position offers the opportunity to design engaging, student-centered learning experiences that strengthen mathematical reasoning, problem-solving, and analytical thinking skills. The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic and collaborative educator who demonstrates professionalism, flexibility, and a commitment to student growth, while bringing strong content knowledge, inclusive teaching practices, and a passion for supporting students both inside and outside the classroom. In addition to classroom instruction, the teacher contributes to the broader life of the school through collaboration, student support, and participation in co-curricular and community activities. Key Responsibilities Instruction & Curriculum Delivery
  • Plan and deliver instruction for a range of mathematics courses for students in grades 7-12
  • Teaching strategies and content for AP courses should align with the curriculum as outlined by the College Board for each course
  • Design and implement curriculum aligned with departmental standards and AP frameworks, incorporating project-based learning, real-world applications, and opportunities for critical thinking
  • Utilize varied pedagogical approaches to support diverse learners, including differentiated instruction and technology-integrated teaching practices
  • Reflect on the effectiveness of instruction and student interactions to continuously improve practice and implement new instructional approaches Student Learning & Support
  • Provide timely, specific, and actionable feedback to support student growth
  • Differentiate instruction and assessment to meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Offer additional academic support and skill development to students as needed
  • Foster a respectful, inclusive, and structured classroom environment
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records Collaboration & School Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with math faculty on curriculum development and departmental initiatives
  • Communicate regularly with families and partner with student support teams to monitor student progress
  • Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events
  • Perform supervisory responsibilities (e.g., study hall, lunch, or other duties as assigned)
  • Contribute to the broader life of the school through advising, clubs, athletics, or other co-curricular involvement Qualifications Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of high school mathematics teaching experience or relevant industry experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with instructional technology and educational platforms. Skills & Additional Qualifications

The role requires regular interaction with students, faculty, and families, as well as participation in meetings, school events, and occasional evening or weekend commitments. The role requires the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic school environment while fostering a structured, engaging, and student-centered classroom.
Compensation:
$51,000
  • $90,000 annually This is a full-time, academic-year position (10 months).
The salary range represents the established compensation parameters for this role. Placement within the range is based on years of experience, qualifications, and internal equity to ensure consistent and equitable compensation.
